dc.description.abstract The electromagnetic polarizability of the pi-meson isotriplet is calculated. The calculation is performed within the framework of the Nambu and Jona-Lasinio model in its two flavour version, where the external electromagnetic fields are taken into account via the minimal coupling procedure. The results are calculated to one quark loop. To the extent that these quantities have been measured, we found that the calculated values are in reasonable agreement. en
