dc.description.abstract The aim of the study was to indicate the relation between personality factors - including the preference of hands - and a subject's choice of the two halves of the horizontal axis of a drawing page. An overview of the origins and development of the use of projective drawing techniques as measuring instrument of personality was given, by taking cognizance of well-known and authoritative authors. The phenomenon of hand preference, the existence of different psychological phenomena, and some general abilities that operate on a higher level in left-handed people, were indicated and confirmed by the results. The relation between dependence, and an even stronger one between the child/mother/attachment and the placement of a drawing of a tree on the side of the non-dominant hand, were found to be statistically significant. en
