dc.description.abstract The aim of the study was to determine the individual training and development requirements of 12 project managers, and to draw up a training and development plan for each. Because high-level manpower is very scarce and expensive, organizations that make use of it must ensure that it has the right knowledge and skills to be successful. Training is one way to achieve competence and to improve performance so that both organization and employee benefit. Each individual is unique, and individual differences must be taken into account when determining requirements and during training. In the study, a project manager's post was analyzed to determine what factors are important to the success of the post. The factors were listed, grouped in dimensions and then placed in order of priority. Sixteen dimensions were identified, and each project manager was evaluated by his manager in terms of them. en
